So I have a computer, about 3 years old

It's been in the shop (best buy geek squad) a few times for broken fans, various things.

I think it may be done...it just shuts down for no reason why i'm on the internet...it goes really slow at times.

Is there any check to run to get to the bottom of the issue

Oh I have to keep the lap top plugged in or it goes off...i'm assuming this is just a dead battery. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is this computer basically just a lemon?

Thanks

Dead Computer

I had the same problem last year. Mine is a notebook and would freeze up if i tried to run not plugged in. I tried new battery, that didn't do it. Finally called Toshiba and they refered me to a place that works on only Toshib's in the area. They took out my Norton's, reinstalled their programs, added 512 in memory and it has worked great since.Cost me less than 200.00. Another side note, took to the Geek squad first, they didn't fix and charged me 312.00. Wouldn't give money back and siai it needed more work and they didn't kno0w how much it would cost. I will never again go to them.I know nothing about these damn things and i tske it very personal when they won't work. Would give anything to know 1/10th as much as a couple of guys in here.:drink:
